There are no alerts or warnings for the North Myrtle Beach / Myrtle Beach area.
Formation of tropical weather systems, including tropical storms and hurricanes, is possible July through early November. Although an average of eleven tropical storms develop each year, many never affect the East Coast and remain at sea. Although tropical activity is possible in summer, autumn is the time we usually see an increase in tropical system activity.
There are no active tropical weather systems at this time that are expected to impact coastal South Carolina and the greater North Myrtle Beach area. Up to date information on tropical weather system activity is available online at the NOAA National Weather Service Hurricane Center.
