This Greg Norman design resembles a desert southwest course without the desert. Fairways flow into natural areas, partial rough, and sand waste areas. Seven scenic holes along the Intracoastal Waterway high light the course. Open greens, sloping white bunkers, and occasional strategically placed sod wall bunkers make it challenging and memorable. From the tips, it plays to a par 72 at 7,200 yards and was designed to accommodate Norman's game philosophy of "bump & run". GN1 bermuda tees and fairways, Tifdwarf approaches and A1 bent greens. An upper-tier, high demand premium course with surcharges of $55 to $115. Midweek specials reduce the surcharges somewhat. Great clubhouse, wide selection of merchandise. Excellent dining, too. Now with a 30-acre lighted practice facility, teaching school, pizzeria and sports bar.
