Journey to downtown North Myrtle Beach to delight in the sounds of live bands on Main Street. Families are encouraged to come downtown after work or after a long day on the beach to experience the many restaurants of Main Street, listen to live music, shop, and dance til’ you drop. Kick back and unwind with us in your beach chair on Main Street. Performances are at the beachfront Horseshoe Stage at Main Street & Ocean Boulevard.

The City of North Myrtle Beach will host the 14th Annual Irish Italian International Festival on Saturday, September 29, 2018. This one day rain or shine event brings approximately 15,000 to celebrate different cultures. The festival begins at 10:00 a.m. and continues until 4:00 p.m. on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach; featuring food from local restaurants, two stages of live entertainment, street performers, art & craft vendors, and dance groups all surrounding an Irish Italian International theme. Restaurants will compete for the title of Best Entrée, Best Decorated, and Best Dessert. Festival goers can also join in a friendly spaghetti eating competition.

Don’t miss the 14th Annual Little River ShrimpFest, where approximately 22,000 members of our community and visitors gather to celebrate this local favorite. This year’s festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 13th, 2018 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 14th, 2018 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Historic Little River Waterfront (4460 Mineola Ave, Little River, SC 29566).

Festival goers can expect to enjoy a children’s area, face painting, stilt walkers, balloon artists, 2 stages of live music, and approximately 150 different vendors- including a variety of art and craft vendors, business expos, and community organizations. Fresh local seafood will be served by the local waterfront restaurants and your festival food favorites will be available from a variety of talented food vendors.

Goblins, ghouls and ghosts oh my! The North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex transforms into a safe haven for the thrill seekers of North Myrtle Beach on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Open to all ages, the Parks and Recreation Department in collaboration with Coastal Carolina University’s Recreation Management class converts the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex into a spooktacular site for an array of activities to include hayrides, marshmallow roasting, trick-or-treating and much more. Scare free and Scare Zones offer a variety of excitement levels that is sure to satisfy all.

Admission: $2 (15 & Up); $1 (5-14); 4 & Under FREE. Price does not include concessions.

DASHING through the GLOW 5K / 1M RACE

Be one of the first people to see the lights during this one mile walk/run and 5K through portions of the Great Christmas Light Show. Each registration includes a t-shirt, medal, official bib, snacks and glow necklace. Registrations also include entry into a raffle for additional prizes.

Don’t forget to wear your best Holiday themed outfit. Prizes will be given for best dressed individual and best dressed family.

Once you are finished with the race, all participants and their families are invited to continue the Holiday celebration in the Christmas Village. Visit with Santa, drink hot chocolate, ride on the magical Santa Express train, ice skate on the artificial ice rink or be one of the first to slide down the NEW 40′ toboggan slide (additional charges apply for activities in the Christmas Village).

All participants and spectators must be in the Park by 6:45pm on the night of the race. Due to roads closing for the race, no entry will be allowed into the Park after 6:45pm. START TIME IS 7:00 PM for both races.

The 31st Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Parade will be held on Main Street on Saturday, March 16, 2019. This one-day, rain or shine event brings approximately 30,000 to celebrate being Irish and welcome the coming of spring. A parade begins the day at 9:00 a.m., followed by three stages of live music and a children’s area with rides and amusements from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Along Main Street approximately 150 vendors will display their crafts, services, information, products, or serve a variety of treats.

DIVA Half Marathon & 5K Race

This year’s race will mark the 7th annual Divas half marathon series to run in the North Myrtle Beach area, and last year’s race saw more than 4,900 runners cross the finish line in both races combined. FIREWORKS on the FOURTH - Broadway at the Beach

Broadway at the Beach hosts fireworks displays each Tuesday and Friday throughout the summer, with a special Independence Day celebration taking place Wednesday, July 4, 2019. Fireworks begin at 10 p.m. and will be shot off over Lake Broadway. The display can be viewed from many areas around the complex, but popular locations include near each of the bridges crossing the lake.

FIREWORKS on the FOURTH - Barefoot Landing

Barefoot Landing will host a special Independence Day fireworks display on Wednesday, July 4, 2019, beginning at 10 p.m. The complex also hosts fireworks each Monday throughout the summer as part of its summer entertainment series.
