Myrtle Beach Outdoors
Myrtle Beach offers no shortage of beautiful parks and gardens, and with summer in full swing, our real estate agents are excited to get out and enjoy them. If you're looking for a place to take a hike, have a picnic, or simply enjoy some sunshine and scenery, these are some of the best parks and gardens in Myrtle Beach.

  • Myrtle Beach State Park - 4401 S Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29575
Overlooking the coast just minutes from the heart of Myrtle Beach, the beautiful Myrtle Beach State Park is an outdoor playground spanning over 300 acres. The park includes beach access and a fishing pier along with meandering hiking and biking trails, picturesque picnic areas, and a family campground. The beaches within the park represent some of the wildest stretches of coastline along the Grand Strand. It's one of the best places in the area for outdoor recreation, and it's within a stone's throw of many Myrtle Beach homes for sale

  • Ocean Forest Memorial Park - 914 Porcher Dr, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
Although Ocean Forest Memorial Park is one of the smaller parks in Myrtle Beach, it's still more than worth a visit. This charming neighborhood park is a great place to relax beneath a shady canopy of trees on a warm, sunny day. Featuring bike racks, a walking path, and park benches just a few blocks from the beach, Ocean Forest Memorial Park is a small but lovely green oasis.

  • Brookgreen Gardens - Brookgreen Garden Dr, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576
Known for being one of America's best public gardens, Brookgreen Gardens is a true must-visit attraction in Myrtle Beach. This sprawling park is open daily from 9:30 am to 5 pm and includes an outdoor sculpture garden, historic site, and zoo in addition to botanical gardens. The gardens themselves are inarguably the main attractions at Brookgreen, with tranquil walking paths meandering through rose gardens and butterfly gardens, beneath live oaks and into groves of palmettos.

  • Gardens By the Sea - 5506 N Ocean Blvd #5504, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
Nestled along the coastline at the west end of North Ocean Boulevard, Gardens By the Sea offers a chance to get away from the crowds and enjoy the salty sea air in peace and quiet. With beach access via a wide boardwalk, this park is popular among kids thanks to its shipwreck-themed playground. Gardens by the Sea also has picnic tables and grills, along with some picturesque garden beds. Leashed pets are welcome.

  • McLean Park - 93 Oak Dr, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582
The 10-acre McLean Park is centrally located in North Myrtle Beach, where its playgrounds, picnic areas, and barbecue grills make it popular for picnics and cookouts. McLean Park also has a 2-acre pond and one of Myrtle Beach's best off-leash dog parks, with separate areas for large and small dogs to run free.

  • Huntington Beach State Park - 16148 Ocean Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576
Spanning a massive 2,500 acres, Huntington Beach State Park is a spectacular coastal nature park and preserve just 30 minutes south of Myrtle Beach. The park encompasses wild salt marshes, maritime forests, and beaches, with great hiking trails and 3 miles of undeveloped coastline. It's one of the best destinations for bird watching in the area and also offers excellent surf fishing.
