Welcome to shoulder season in Myrtle Beach. The kids have gone back to school, but the fun is far from over. Perfect weather and an abundance of events and festivals make fall a great time to experience life in Myrtle Beach.
With the crowds and heat waves of summer behind us, our real estate agents are very much looking forward to one of our favorite seasons on the Carolina coast. These are some of the Myrtle Beach fall events we're most excited about.
- I Love Seafood Fest - 812 N Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
Returning on September 13 and 14 this year, the annual I Love Seafood Fest is a great way to ease the transition from summer into fall. The festival offers a tantalizing blend of live music and great food, with live bands playing on multiple stages while food vendors provide a dizzying variety of unique seafood dishes. General admission is free of charge. I Love Seafood Fest takes place within walking distance of many Myrtle Beach homes for sale at Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place, an outdoor event space overlooking the beach.
- Taste of the Maze at Thompson Farm - 100 Brickyard Pl, Conway, SC 29527
Thompson Farm is a beautiful 156-acre farm alongside the Waccamaw River, less than 20 miles from Myrtle Beach. It hosts a lot of classic fall activities, like a corn maze, pumpkin patch, and hay wagon rides, and the season kicks off on September 14 with Taste of the Maze at Thompson Farm. While most of the happenings on the farm are for all ages, Taste the Maze is for grown-ups only. It's a one-night event during which you can enjoy wine and beer tastings, live music, and a chance to explore the twists and turns of Thompson Farms' corn maze.
- Septemberfest at Barefoot Landing - 4898 Hwy 17 S, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582
A destination for shopping, dining, and entertainment overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway in North Myrtle Beach, Barefoot Landing hosts its annual Septemberfest on September 21 this year. From noon until 5 pm, the festival offers a variety of food, drink, games, activities, and entertainment, including live music on the Dockside Stage. It's a family-friendly event with plenty of activities for kids. Another favorite feature of Septemberfest is the Grape Stomp hosted by Duplin Winery.
- Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival - 16148 Ocean Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576
Now in its 49th year, the Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival is one of the biggest craft festivals of the season in coastal South Carolina. Taking place on September 27-29 at Huntington Beach State Park, the festival is just a few minutes away from Myrtle Beach. Over the course of three days, the Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival brings together more than 100 exceptional artisans, along with live entertainment and food vendors ranging from seafood to barbecue.
