Lobster Meals

If you're as excited as our real estate agents are for National Lobster Day—coming right up on September 25—then you've come to the right place. It just so happens that Myrtle Beach is home to some of the best seafood restaurants in South Carolina, making it the perfect place to celebrate this most illustrious of holidays. Sample lobster and other seafood favorites at these local places.

  • Lobster House Seafood Restaurant - 5301 S Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29575
Since opening its doors in 2018, Lobster House Seafood Restaurant has established itself as one of the best places in Myrtle Beach to order lobster. Located a stone's throw from some of these Myrtle Beach homes for sale, Lobster House offers three ways to order their namesake delicacy. Go for twin lobster tails, baked and perfectly seasoned, or order a 1.25-pound live lobster steamed whole and served with drawn butter. Last but not least, try the stuffed whole lobster, split and stuffed with claw crab meat and baked to golden-brown perfection.

  • Sea Captain's House - 3002 N Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
It's tough to beat Sea Captain's House in terms of food or ambiance. This beach-side eatery serves a broad array of seafood favorites in its airy dining room and breezy back patio, both of which offer ocean views. The flavorful, sherry-infused Maine lobster bisque is a standout appetizer, and it will get you in a great place to enjoy the main course. Lobster lovers should definitely consider ordering the cioppino, a savory seafood stew of shrimp and steamed clams seasoned with fennel and leeks and finished with a Maine lobster tail.

  • Hook & Barrel - 8014 N Kings Hwy B, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572
A hip hangout with a full bar and maritime decor, Hook & Barrel serves creative dishes from both land and sea. The folks at Hook & Barrel source as many ingredients locally as possible, and as a result, much of their menu is seasonal. Lobster tail, surf-and-turf, and grilled lobster frites are common features, but it's wise to call ahead to make sure lobster is on the menu. Hook & Barrel also offers an incredible selection of wines and craft cocktails to pair with any dish.

  • RipTydz Oceanfront Grille & Rooftop Bar - 1210 N Ocean Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577
A lively spot that serves tasty seafood dishes on a rooftop bar and outdoor patio overlooking the beach, RipTydz is a great place to order lobster in the heart of Myrtle Beach. Whole Maine Lobster is always on the menu here, along with some of the best lobster rolls in town. RipTydz also offers surf and turf, pairing a 12 oz. char-grilled ribeye steak with steamed twin four oz. lobster tails. Lobster-bacon mac n' cheese is another standout menu item at this bustling eatery, located right on the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk.

  • Crabby George's Calabash Seafood Buffet - 7904 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572
With its all-you-can-eat seafood buffet and funky pirate-themed decor, Crabby George's Calabash Seafood Buffet is a favorite among locals and tourists alike. Lobster is not, regrettably but understandably, part of the all-you-can-eat buffet. That said, you can certainly order lobster a la carte. Crabby George's serves an excellent Maine lobster plate, with a 22 oz. whole lobster perfectly steamed and served with two sides. Buttered and seasoned butterfly-baked twin lobster tails are on the menu as well.
